Hello Jag,

after more than 2 year with the aero racer, I am still very content with this model. I tried some engines and configuration, meanwhile I use a Plettenberg Orbit 15/14 with a Kontronik Jazz80 and 4s2p Kokam 2200mAh 30C Lipo. This configuration works very well. The current is between 55 Amps with a 9,5x7,5" prop and 38 Amps with a 9,5 x 4,5" prop. Running time at about 10 minutes mixed full load and partial load.
One important improvement I found, but only necessary with the highest power version: Some elevators in the duct against the prop torque.

Thank you very much from Germany for this great model!

Tom

Completed and does it go.

Need a bigger space to get used to it though.

Excellent fun so far.

Have just bought GRN 15 second hand.

A good price paid with a .40 engine, new radio gear included and plenty of spares including all receipts and manuals.

It has come with a newly modified skirt and was taken to bits straight away for a rebuild. Have purchased new duct as other one was full of holes and it is now back together with only the throttle
linkage to do.

Pictures to follow

Hello Jag,

still another picture of my aero racer. Speed measurements I have done by GPS Garmin Gecko 201. The driver figure is from Graupner 1:5 motocycle.

regards,

Tom
